The objective of our campaign is simple: encourage Montreal citizens to vote in the next municipal elections and to better understand the structure of the city. Democracy is not only about voting once every four years ... but it's a part of it!
We are looking for student volunteers to lead discussions on municipal democracy with the non-partisan animation tools created by the Montreal Urban Ecology Center. This can be organized on your campus during lunch break, with a workshop or a kiosk. It is a great way for your students to set foot in politics and make tangible projects.
You'll find two attachements that give you more info on what the project is about. The Animation guide is for the volunteers, and the Borough guide is to be used during the activity.
If you are interested in organizing a discussion workshop over the next month, please feel free to participate in one of our info sessions :
Online: Wednesday, Oct 11th at 11:30 AM.
In person at 3516 Park ave: Tuesday, Oct 10th at 3:00 PM
RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org
By spreading the info on that campaign to your members and inviting them to volunteer, you help create a real citizen movement and stimulate voter turnout in the upcoming municipal elections.
