Social Leadership in Action’s (SLA) first workshop of the year will take place on February 8th. https://www.facebook.com/events/1978372209068646/ !
SLA will host a conference and a speaking panel on Food Security, Indigenous Land Rights and the Place of Social Innovation in Latin America in conjunction with the Comité des Affaires Internationales de l'Université de Montréal (CAIUM) and the McBurney Latin America Fellowship, under the tutelage of McGill University’s Institute for Health and Social Policy (IHSP). The panel will comprise four speakers from different backgrounds who adopt distinct approaches in relation to the main theme of the night.
Following a first discussion between the panelists, the participants will be able to partake in a round-table with the presenter of their choice to address issues linked to the theme and answer more specific questions.
The event will end with a wine and cheese cocktail, during which a few students, financed by the McBurney Latin America Fellowship, will present their projects.
The conference and networking cocktail will take place from 6:00pm to 8pm at Notman House, 51 Sherbrooke Street West in Montreal.
The event is bilingual and all the speakers and participants are free to talk in French or in English.
Tickets are $10 and are eligible for a $5 refund upon arrival at the conference! Find your tickets here -> https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/billets-atelier-bilingue-food-security-and-land-rights-in-latin-america-42431448605?aff=efbeventtix
